- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a service/supply contract for commercial items in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2005-06, Effective 31 Oct 2005 & Defense Aquisition Circular 2005-1114. The solicitation number is N65971-5274-M016 and this is a Request for Quote. This acquisition is unrestricted. Proposals are due in this office no later than Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 2:00PM ET. Naval Construction Battalion Center intends to enter into a firm fixed price requirements type contract for a period of performance one year. Place of Performance: Naval Construction Training Center, Gulfport, MS. The quantities specified in the solicitation are estimates only; and shall not obligate the Government. CONTRACT PERIOD THROUGH 30 SEP 2006. Deliveries should be made within 5 days of order placement and will be on an as needed basis. Trucks will need capability of unloading themselves with forklift. Description of items: Portland cement type 1, general use, 94lb bag (1 cubic foot) Estimated yearly requirement of 3000 Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by identifying themselves and giving written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen(15) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. All contractors that request a copy of this quotation MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Register(CCR).
