Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Infolytica Corporation 300 Leo Pariseau, Place Du Parac Bureau 2222, Montreal, QC H2X 4B3 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From a single source, for additional licenses for MagNet, True Window GUI, with maintenance for one year; MagNet is manufactured and sold only by Infolytica Corporatin. Currently NIST has a license for this program for only one user. NIST needs two more licenses so that three users can use their individual copy of the program simultaneously on separate computers and be able to exchange data files. The exact same program with the same capabilities is needed in order to properly compare models that NIST creates of equipment that NIST is designing; and is needed for the advancement and eventual completion of the NIST project. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about December 1, 2005. The performance period will begin December 1, 2005 for one year. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
