Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Waters Corporation, 34 Maple Street Milford, MA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From a single source, for a Total Assurance Plan to include the following: unlimited comprehensive service coverage for TAP Quattro Micro (1 PM) visit, Masslynx software provides priority software support and all Masslynx updates and upgrades,TAP QuanLynx Software, TAP 2690/2695 System (1PM), Waters Software Basic Plan Personal, and TAP 2966 PDA DET (1PM). The MicroMass division of Waters Corporation is the manufacturer of the Quattro Micro Mass Spectrometer. The MicroMass Engineers have the parts and experience to maintain the instrument, and necessary software. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about December 5, 2005. The maintenance and support period will begin December 20, 2005 for one year. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
