Presolicitation Notice Date Submitted: 09 Nov 2005 OC-ALC/PKR DIR CONTRACTING/PROPULSION 3001 STAFF DR STE 1AC1/99A TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032. Canopy Actuator, SPEC SOL FA8103-06-Q-0093. Item 0001 & 0002. NSN: 1650-01-052-0916, P/N: 5680-3. Item Description: The item contains retainers, packings, piston ROB and cylinder. Applicable to: F15E Aircraft. Destination: Hill AFB, UT Delivery: 2 ea Jun 2006, 6 ea Mar 2007, New Material Solicited. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 23 November 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 23 December 2005. The anticipated award date will be 10 Jan 2006. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download only at www.eps.com. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
