Description

JOLIET JOB CORPS CENTER SCOPE OF WORK SHOWER ROOM IS LEAKING The shower room on the north side of building B is leaking on the rooms below. 1. The contractor shall install a slip-resistant monolithic waterproof floor surface over the existing tile floors in the shower room. The new assembly shall include a substrate capable of allowing slope to the existing shower floor drains. If necessary, floor drains shall be reset lower in the floor. The new flooring shall be coved up the walls. The floor finish will not allow the existing ceramic tile to telegraph through to the surface. Drain piping and floor drains will be inspected and replaced, as needed. 2. The contractor shall verify location and extent of work required to accomplish the upgrade. 3. Construction debris must be removed from the site, and the construction area must be secured to the Center?s satisfaction at the end of each day. 4. The contractor will coordinate with the Center Director and the Finance and Administration Director to ensure student training and kitchen operations are not disrupted during the construction process. 5. All work must meet the latest edition of Building Codes. 6. The contractor shall at all times abide by the Center?s rules and regulations. 7. The contractor will comply, as applicable, with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Act, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. 8. All materials, services and labor shall be warranted free for a period of one year. 9. The contractor shall test and demonstrate the proper functioning of the system to the Center?s satisfaction. If during valve replacement, pipe is damaged due to old age, new pipe section shall be installed. 10. The contractor will provide and maintain competent and adequate supervision at the construction site to ensure that the complete work conforms with the approved plans and specifications and will furnish progress reports and such other information as may be required by the Center. 11. The contractor will initiate and complete the work within the applicable time frame after receipt of approval of the Center. 12. The contractor will comply with all Federal statutes relating to non-discrimination. 13. The contractor will prepare and submit a complete set of plans for the installation of the upgrade for Center review and approval. 14. Determine best time schedule for work to be done, regular business hours, after hours and/or weekend to comply with Center?s schedule.
