- This is a notice of intent to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 with The Blood Center of Iowa, 431 E. Locust St., Des Moines, IA 50309 for Blood and Blood Products for the VA Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines Division, 3600 30th St., Des Moines, IA. The contract period is January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006. The NAICS code is 621991 with a size standard of $8.5 million. This procurement is based on the determination that the government?s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from only one source because of the requirement to deliver some products within one hour. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to provide this service by responding in writing to our office no later than December 7, 2005. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone requests accepted.
