- ALL QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS CONCERNING THIS ANNOUNCEMENT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO FRANK WARD OF THE YAKAMA NATION (509-865-5121, EXT. 4641) OR JESSE LEIGHTON OF SHAMAN ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING (208-843-7390) This announcement is posted for the Yakama Indian Nation. The Yakima Indian Nation is constructing a new health center under the authority of P.L. 93-638. This project is for construction of a new health center on the Yakama Indian reservation located in White Swan, WA. Work consists of, but is not limited to, site preparation, utility connections, earthwork, paving, landscaping, and construction of the new health center of approximately 6,500 square feet. The general dollar magnitude of the project is $1 million. Bona-fide Contractors may obtain Contract Documents from the Architect. Submit a plan fee of $125.00 ($100.00 refundable deposit and $25.00 non-fundable fee) per set. A maximum of two sets may be obtained per firm. Plan deposit of $100.00 will be returned upon return receipt of all Contract Documents, providing they are returned in good, unmarked, and unmutilated condition within ten days after time set for receiving of bids. Contractor bidders desiring additional sets of Contract Documents may purchase them from the office of the Architect. Sealed bids will be received at Tribal Agency Headquarters (in the Eagle Seelatsee Auditorium), at 401 Fort Road, Toppenish, WA 98948 until 2:00 P.M., on Monday, November 30, 2005; in accord with Contract Documents prepared by Shaman Architecture and Planning, Post Office Box 1060, Lapwai, Idaho 83540, telephone (208) 843-7390, fax (208) 843-7310. Bids received after time fixed for opening cannot be considered and will be returned unopened. Immediately after said closing time, bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the presence of all interested parties. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed proposal form. Make bids in accord with Drawings, Project Manual and other Contract Documents. No bidder may withdraw a bid after time set for receiving bids, unless award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding thirty days. Each bidder must deposit with bid the bid form and guarantee in amount, subject to conditions provided in Instructions to the Bidders contained in the Project Manual. All bidders must submit a list of major subcontractors, at the time of bid opening, whose work will exceed ten percent of the project. A complete list of subcontractors must be submitted within twenty-four hours of bid opening. Attach subcontractor list to Bid Form. This project will require the use of Davis-Bacon Building Wage Rates. General Contractor competition in this bid solicitation is NOT limited to Indian-owned firms. The Sovereign Immunity of the Yakama Nation will not be waived, diminished, or changed in any way under the contract for this work. Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid, if such actions are believed to be in the best interest of the Owner. Your attention in particular is invited to Instructions to Bidders referenced in the Project Manual which must be followed in all respects.
