- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to procure the design, development, fabrication, and testing of upgrades to the existing components or the complete replacement of the front axle assembly and suspension for the Navy?s A/S32P-25 Shipboard Firefighting Vehicle (P/N 9325-01-0100-01, NSN 6R-X-4210-01-394-3789-SX). (Note: for the purposes of this announcement the new unit shall be called the Replacement Front Axle Assembly.) The A/S32P-25 Shipboard Firefighting Vehicle is a self-propelled, self-contained, all weather, firefighting vehicle. It is used on aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships to extinguish a fire or limit a fire?s severity until other systems can be activated. The required basic quantity is two (2) Pilot Production Replacement Front Axle Assemblies. The upgraded axle assembly shall include all attaching hardware and springs. The Government is anticipating an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price type contract. The delivery for the initial pilot production units, quantity of two (2), shall be presented for testing and inspection no later than 120 days after contract award. All Replacement Front Axle Assembly kits will be packaged in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall be FOB Origin. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http:// www.navair.navy.mil Select ?Business? then ?Doing Business With Us? and ?Open Solicitations?. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors. The government will not accept electronic proposals. This procurement contains Technical Data subject to the Export Control Laws.
