- The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about November 18, 2005. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The work of this contract consists of the general construction of a water system for fire protection including 32,550 gallon (nominal) steel ground storage reservior, approx 1,600 linear feet of 6" diameter water distribution main, approx 570 linear feet of 4" diameter PVC laterals and a prepackaged 500 GPM diesel driven fire pump system. The work also includes demolition of an existing 25,000 gallon elevated steel water tower and an existing 4" diameter ductile iron wateline. The work location is Richmond National Battlefield Park Maintenance Area, 1990 Maintenance Way, Richmond, VA. A SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR: DECEMBER 1, 2005 at 1:00 pm. This Invitiation for Bid (IFB) is issued pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns, regardless of size. The NAICS code is 237110. Bids are due December 19, 2005 by 1:00 pm. The construction estimate is between $100,000 and $500,000.
