Description
MARKET RESEARCH for Presentation and Development of Structures, Hydraulics and Geotechnical Training Courses and Materials The Federal Highway Administration, Department of Transportation is conducting market research to: · Determine if sources exist that are capable of satisfying the requirements listed below, · Determine the capabilities of potential contractors, including an estimate of prices, · Size and status of potential sources, and · Determine the level of competition (i.e., 8(a), small business set-aside or full and open) The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), National Highway Institute (NHI) plans to award multiple follow on 5-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts for the development/revision/delivery of training courses in the broad general areas of Structures, Hydraulics and Geotechnical technologies. Training delivery methods may include traditional classroom, distance learning and/or computer-based self-teaching. Subject matter expertise and seasoned instructors with adult learning experience are required. All work must be Section 504 and 508 compliant. Successful offerors will be invited to compete for award of subsequent task orders that may also include other functions relating to training delivery such as needs assessment, marketing, or electronic formatting for Section 508 compliance. Limited research necessary for development of technical reference manuals may be included. Current NHI course offerings in the areas of Structures, Hydraulics, and Geotechnical as well as the NHI Style Guide [for development of course materials] may be found on the NHI web site at www.nhi.fhwa.dot.gov. Additional courses or web-based offerings may be added as needs are defined. When the consolidated RFP is issued, offerors may submit proposals covering one, two, or all three of the Structures, Hydraulics and Geotechnical technologies subject areas. Develop web based training for technical subject matter 4. Develop and implement a needs analysis and/or marketing plan 2.
