Description
The United States Agency for International Development, Mission to the West Bank and Gaza (USAID/WBG) is seeking proposals from American and Local construction contractors to construct small-to medium-scale local water and sanitation facilities in the West Bank and Gaza. It is USAID/WBG?s intents to award multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for these efforts within specific geographic areas of the West Bank and Gaza, with each contract being active for a one and a half year period. Upon award, each of the IDIQ holders will be allowed to bid on specific construction projects. Each task order issued will contain a pertinent work description that includes a complete set of Bill of Quantities, Technical Specifications, and Drawings. The scope of these IDIQ contracts may include the installation of sanitary sewer, the rehabilitation of existing potable water wells, repair and or replacement of well pumps and motors, rehabilitation and/or construction of water booster stations or sewer pump stations, site civil works, electrical control panel fabrication and installation, site electrification, water and sanitation pipeline installation, water reservoir construction and other general civil, mechanical, and electrical works. Although this is open to U.S. Firms, current travel restrictions prohibit entry into Gaza by contractor personnel who are U.S. citizens, U.S. Green card holders or third country nationals. U.S. Firms are reminded of the restriction imposed by AIDAR 725.703(b), which requires at least 50% of the supervisory and key personnel working at the project site to be citizens or legal residents of the United States. No Exceptions will be authorized. The selected contractors must be able to mobilize quickly and must have similar construction experience and demonstrated capability of managing multiple activities of similar projects in the West Bank or Gaza. The solicitation and RFP for services indicated will be available after 18 November, 2005.
