- The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is issuing a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) VS-05-07 based on the following description: AFRL is instituting a core process to rapidly deliver technical solutions to user emergencies. This new process, called innovate Solutions to Urgent Needs, or iSUN, will strengthen and streamline AFRL’s application of new and existing technology to solve urgent problems encountered by military operators. The vision of this process is to be the best technical innovator for the Air Force and other Warfighters. Our mission is to reshape today’s battles in the air, in space, and in the cyber domain by rapidly providing innovative new capabilities based on any knowledge or technology. This process requires unparalleled diversity of expertise and knowledge concurrent with the ability to rapidly form and empower teams, plus the ability to agilely and rapidly develop and test innovative and creative prototype solutions.
