- Description
- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13). THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 – THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. 45 CONS/LGCBA has a requirement for Lease of a 20 Passenger bus for the Patrick AFB, Honor Guard Team. 1 EACH Lease of a custom 2005 Ameritrans 285RL series Shuttle bus (or equal). Chassis: Ford E450 Cutaway, Dual Rear Wheels, Super Duty, Body Ameritrans 285RL or equal, Customized rear luggage compartment/dressing area minimum of five (5) feet long by width of bus, Safety equipment group, Exterior: Oxford white. USAF logo on three (3) sides and Base Honor Guard Badge on two (2) sides and Contractor Maintenance Requirement will provide a 100,000-mile full maintenance plan during the term of the lease. Bus will have to meet the following requirements: Must seat a minimum of 20 passengers. Must have room for 30 hanging garment bags. Must have room for a mounted weapons safe cable of storing 10 full length rifles. Must have a privacy wall separating passenger compartment from storage compartment for privacy while Guard Members dress for detail. Must have room for storage of ceremonial flags, poles, harnesses, and other required equipment. All seats must have seatbelts. Anticipated award date of 1 Nov 05. This service will be conducted at Patrick AFB, FL. Period of performance/expected delivery date is 1 January 2006. Base and Four one-year options may be awarded. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Solicitation No. FA2521-05-R-0107 is issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 7513, business size of $21,500,000 and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 532120. GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 22 Aug 05 at www.eps.gov . Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-2706), or e-mail.
