- THIS NOTICE CORRECTS THE ORIGINAL PRESOLICITATION NOTICE POSTED 07/07/2005. THAT NOTICE INCORRECTLY STATED THAT THE SOLICITATION NUMBER WAS N6554005R029. THE CORRECT SOLICITATION NUMBER IS N6554005R0029. The Naval Surface Warfer Center, Carderock Division, Ship System Engineering Station, Philadelphia, PA, intends to issue a Solicitation for the acquisition of components for Machinery Control Systems (MCS) for CVN-68 Class Ships. The MCS will control auxiliary machinery equipment systems aboard the vessel, including Firemain System, Interior Communication/Standard Module Alarm Monitoring System, List Control System, JP-5 System, Data Acquisition System and Integrated Condition Assessment System, among others. Offerors will be required to submit technical and cost proposals. This will be an unrestricted solicitation, and award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. The Solicitation is expected to be released on 02-November-2005 and to close on 02-December-2005. Solicitation packages will only be available electronically and no hard copies will be sent. All interested parties may download the solicitation and any amendments at http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.febizopps.gov after the release date of the solicitation.
