Description

THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. THE ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE OF THE SOLICITATION IS 21 NOVEMBER 2005. THIS IS AN ESTIMATED DATE ONLY AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. NO INFORMATION, TECHNICAL OR OTHERWISE, WILL BE RELEASED UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS RELEASE D. This will be a full and open solicitation resulting in a firm fixed price five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Government reserves the right to make up to two (2) awards as a result of this procurement. Weldment sampl es and procedures will be required with proposal submittal. Items to procure are: (1) Towbar, Motor Vehicle, NSN 4910-01-365-9304, PN 7551383; (2) Hook, NSN 4910-01-005-2823, PN 7551073; (3) Chain Assembly, NSN 3020-01-015-6192, PN 7551370; (4) Clevis ( 0.750), NSN 5340-01-022-4686, PN 7551067; (5) Clevis (1.000), NSN 5340-01-023-9801, PN 7550983; (6) Leg Assembly, Male, NSN 4710-01-371-7292, PN 7551386; (7) Leg Assembly, Moveable, NSN 4710-01-371-7293, PN 7551385; (8) Leg Assembly, Fixed, NSN 4710-01-37 1-7294, PN 7551384; (9) Clamp, NSN 4910-00-624-0552, PN 7551069; (10) Clamp, Assembly, NSN 5120-00-624-0556, PN 7551068. Guaranteed minimum contract quantities will be stated in the solicitation. FOB is Destination. This solicitation incorporates a tech nical data package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Upon request a TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore hard copies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Becau se of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. THE RESPONSE DATE IS FOR ARCHIVE PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT THE DATE WHICH OFFERS ARE DUE. Notes 12 and 26 apply.
