Description
The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns to undertake a program design, modify the design, build pilot production test equipment, and full-scale production metal production facilities. All interested firms shall submit their technical capabilities (1-10 pages) for the above to include the following at no cost to the Government. The technical capabilities shall describe how the interested firm can provide engineering, machine designs, integration, and installation related to the following: (1) Definition of capabilities in machine tool design/fabrication. (2)Definition of capabilities to build pilot and scale production metal furnaces, metal casting, and metal rolling equipment. (3) Definition of large-scale capital metal production facility design with emphasis on reactive metals. (4) Design, prove out and installation of high-rate production manufacturing systems. (5) Automation and control technology system integration. Any drawings and/or initial experimentation results/test data may be included along with your technical capabilities. (6) Definition of specialized capabilities in titanium. Prior performance in the above-mentioned areas on government facility projects is critical and should be so noted. This is a program to work collaboratively with US Army ARDEC and the domestic titanium industry. Interested firms must demonstrate their ability apply technologies that can dramatically lower the production cost of titanium for armament applications. These submissions will not count towards your technical capabilities page count limitation. The technical capabilities shall be submitted electronically fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice to Jamal White (email address: jamwhite@pica.army.mil). Contractors can not incur costs associated with the market survey. Any questions should be asked in writing and sent electronically. If interested, also please provide the company???s name, address, point of contact with telephone number and email address of each team member, and certification that your company is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern. This is a market survey for information only. It does not constitute a RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
