- Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, and utilizing FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures the U.S. Army RDECOM - Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick , MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier Systems Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Mimmo Elia, 44 Berkeley Street, Watertown, MA 02472-2810. This effort is to provide research and deve lopment services for the development of prototype modulating oil burner. The effort represents the continuation of services perviously undertaken under Purchase Order W911QY-05-P-0336. Significant research and development services have already been completed by Mimmo Elia relative to this Purchase Order. The Government would like to continue this research and development effort. Because Mimmo Elia has already undertaken these efforts, and for continuity of research purposes, Mimmo Elia is the only available source to continue this effort. As such, the contract will be awarde d to Mimmo Elia. Questions concerning this acquisition may be addressed to the above address, Attention: Mr. Richard R.
