- Q?The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service is soliciting offers from interested individual emergency room qualified physician assistants to provide physician assistant for the Cass Lake, Minnesota, Service Unit of the Bemidji Area Indian Health Service. The contract shall be a performance based personal health care services contract under which the Government will evaluate the quality of professional and administrative services provided. Supervision of physician assistants will be by Cass Lake IHS staff physicians. Contractor physician assistants must have a current valid, unrestricted Advance Practice Provider license, Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is required. As part of the contract proposal evaluation by the Cass Lake Service unit, the completed credentials packet will be reviewed by the service unit Medical Staff in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws. Compliance with the Indian Health Service privileging requirements is essential in the performance of the contract. The period of performance will be for (1) one base year with the option of four (4) additional option years. Contract performance will start when acceptable credentialing is completed and the physician assistant is placed on the schedule. The Government will reserve the right to exercise the option years. RFP No. 06-01 will tentatively be released on November 17, 2005, and the deadline for submission of offers is tentatively scheduled for December 20, 2005.
