Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to award a sole source purchase order to Instru-Met Corporation to provide preventive, routine, and repair maintenance; technical support, software support and verifications to test equipment. This service shall include cleaning internal components and connectors, adjusting travel arms and motion controllers, and verify and rectify all electrical and electronic components, including servo amps of the following equipment: one 20-KIP Refurbished Instru-Met Machine (Frame 2); one 1-KIP Refurbished Instru-Met Machine (Frame 3), and one series 1143, 1-Kip Machine (Frame 7). Instru-Met is the original and sole manufacturer for the equipment to be maintained under this purchase order. As the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the equipment listed in the above paragraph of this synopsis, Instru-Met has proprietary rights and patents and is the only firm with the unique knowledge and technical expertise required to properly maintain the equipment. The estimated period of performance for this effort is November 2005 to September 2006. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
