Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes ar e being requested and a more detailed solicitation is available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/, which includes exhibits that could not be posted as this site. Hard copies will not be available. Solicitation Number W912EE-06-T-0008 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) with the intent to award as simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal A cquisition Circular 2005-06 Correction. This is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns under NAICS Code 532411 (SIC 4499) with average annual gross revenues not exceeding $6,000,000.00. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg, Mississip pi has a requirement for the lease of one (1) tender boat with operating personnel for a period of 45 days starting on or about 6 December 2005. Specifications are as follows: The boat will be used on the Mississippi River from Cairo, Illinois, (Mile 953.8 AHP) to the Head of Passes (Mile 0.0), the Old River, the Atchafalaya River, the Red River (Louisiana), the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) as far west as the Calcasieu River and the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet (MRGO). The tender shall have the follow ing general dimensions: (1) Overall length measured at extreme points over the deck excluding sheer not less than 53 feet, (2) Beam measured at extreme points not less than 22 feet nor more than 30 feet molded beam, (3) Draft (Fully loaded with fuel) maxim um 7 ? feet, (4) and Freeboard with sufficient fuel aboard for a 5 day operation. The tender shall have a fuel capacity sufficient to allow 120 hours operation without refueling. (Detailed Specifications are available on VCCO website) This procurement may be quoted as follows: Line Item 0001 Supplies/Services: Lease of tender boat, Quantity: 1, Unit: Days, Unit Price $ ___________; Total amount for Line Item 0001 $____________. Delivery is not later than 6 Dec 2005. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose quote is determined to be the lowest price. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with this offer. The Clause 52 .212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, applies to this acquisition. The Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
