- The synopsis for this solicitation has been modified as follows: This dredging project includes new work for the improvement of the Columbia River Oregon Slough from River Mile 0+00 to RM 1+00. Minimum pay depth is 45 MLLW; maximum pay depth is 47 MLLW; maximum allowable dredging depth is 48 MLLW. There is approximately 333,000 cubic yards available for dredging. Clamshell, hopper or pipeline dredge, or a combination thereof, may perform this work. The disposal of new work material will be at an unconfined in-water site approximately 1-2 miles away from the dredging area. A Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) shall be provided for all new contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. For this project the person that will act as the SSHO is required to have a minimum of 3 years safety work with simil ar projects and a 30 Hour OSHA construction safety class, or equivalent, taken within the last 3 years. The SSHO may have other duties for this work that include being the on-site CQC Manager.
