Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, will shortly be issuing a solicitation for: 1) new methods or 2) new applications of existing methods of 3) improvements in the accuracy of existing methods of measuring flow in hydraulic turbines. This solicitation is part of a program to improve facilities and operations at all Corps hydroelectric projects in the Pacific Northwest. The focus of the solicitation will be on methods to measure the volumetric fl ow rate, in absolute terms of cubic feet per second, in the larger Kaplan hydraulic turbines on the Columbia River system. The solicitation will include conceptual development and laboratory testing. The laboratory facilities will be provided by the Corp s. A follow-on contract may be negotiated for the installation and verification testing on a selected prototype generating unit. Multiple contract awards are contemplated. This action will be conducted under FSC Code B599 Other Special Studies and Analy ses. The NAICS code is 541330 Engineering Services. The size standard is $4 million dollars.
