Description
This Sources Sought Notice is seeking firms who are Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses 8(a), Women Owned, HUBZone, Veteran Owned or Service Disabled Veteran Owned. A market survey is being conducted to determine the sizes and types of businesses eligible and capable of satisfying this agencys potential requirements. This project consists of constructing CMU 17 air intake and relief shaft extensions from grade to 10 foot elevation, install pre-cast panel facia, access doors, and steel fabricated shaft caps on shafts. Replace 145 rooftop AHU dampers with pneumatic actuated low leakage type. Replace 30 basement intake and relief louvers with low-leakage type pneumatic actuated dampers. Expand/modify existing proprietary building EMCS c ontrols to include new low leakage dampers, to add 175 damper limit switches, new building-wide HVAC shutdown capacity, and incorporate multiple existing stand-alone air systems. Sheet metal fabrication to include minor patching/repairing existing ductwor k affected by this work. Expand existing intrusion detection system to include new sensors at air shaft doors. Work area allows for limited staging and access. Work shall take place after normal work hours with close coordination/communication with tena nt. Interested firms should submit their business designation, such as HUBZone, 8(a) or Disabled Veterans, agencys point of contact, telephone number and provide self-certification for the category. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990 with a s ize standard of $28,500,000.00. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Completion no later than 365 calendar days. The Government intends to issue a solicitation on or about 29 November, opening on or about 10 January 2006. The requ est for proposal will detail evaluation factors to be included in the solicitation. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered n the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for aw ard of a Federal contract.
