- The Transportation Safety Institute, DTI-70 of the Department of Transportation of the Federal Government of the United States intends to award a Single Source contract to Mr. Clay Hatch to acquire facilitator services for various state traffic record assessments. The Traffic Records Assessment is a technical assistance tool that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) offer to state offices of highway safety to allow management to review their traffic records programs. The facilitator represents the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and acts as a liaison between the host state and the assessment team during the assessment process. The Transportation Safety Institute considers this procurement to be single source based upon the vendor's uniquely qualified work experience as a traffic record assessment facilitator. The vendor has an extensive background of national highway safety programs and is an expert facilitator in assessing state traffic records. The purpose of this announcement is for any interested parties who feel they may have the capability and experience to perform this service to inform the Contract Specialist.
