Description
RFP will be issued as a Total Small Business Set Aside, Indefinite Delivery Type Contract with One Option Year. See notes 1, 9 and 26. This is an acquistion for Minimum quantity of 50,000 units and maximum 250,000 Badge, Qualification Combat Action, Army, Regular Black and minimum quantity 50,000 and maximum 250,000 Badge, Qualification combat action Army Nickel/Silver plated NSN(s): 8455-01-532-5321 and 8455-01-532-5441 Six deliveries per item to New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. Production leadtime 150 days. Five first article samples will be due per item on or before 60 days after award. Past Performance information: New Item no history is available. End item Specification/MS Sheets For Silver NR 01 29938, for Black, NR 01 29939 MIL-DTL-2628G MIL-F-14648A applies. Contractors must be CCR registered and have a CAGE coge. INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETRIEVING RFP's - Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after August 30th, 2002. From the Gateway home page, select "Search RFP" from the left hand sidebar. Then select "solicitation". Type the solicitation number you wish to view and search. Click the number to download the file (this will take several minutes). In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFP solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Inernet. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
