- NOTICE OF INTENT - Notice of intent to award single source to North StarHelicopters Inc, 963 Hwy 63 W, Jasper Texas 75951to provide orthorectified digital 1-meter multi-spectral (24-bit color infrared or RGB) imagery and digital ESRI shape files for 25,000 acres of aerial mapping of salt cedar within USFWS and BLM management lands. North Star helicopter is the only company that provides orthorectified digital 1-meter multi-spectral (24-bit color infrared or RGB) imagery and digital ESRI shape files. They also produce hand classified salt cedar mapping, this method eliminates error rates than the other computer generated maps that other companies produce. This process helps minimize chemical use, which is essential on an endangered species refuge. Interested parties must submit technical capabilities, pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available. No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns.
