- Description
- The following information is provided as a change, or clarification to, the presolicitation number 09062005: (1) Solicitation Number is changed from 09062005 to F2XTA15074A100; (2) the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) was a DRAFT only; (3) Section L "Instructions to Offerors" and Section M "Evaluation Factors" should be removed and NOT a part of this contract action; and, (4) there is NO PRICING requested at this time, as this posting is for informational puposes only. In addition, there were two (2) questions posed from the pre-solicitation notice. Both the questions and answers are as follows: Question 1: At the time the Air Force Beta tested the LawManager case management system, was it compatible with LexisNexis? Is it compatible now? May we receive a copy of any technical compatibility analysis with third party information providers done by LawManager? Answer 1: The Thomson/Elite contract requires it to provide an interface between LawManager and either LexisNexis or Westlaw, whichever is awarded this contract for electronic research. There is no such interface with LexisNexis at this time. Compatibility with LawManager is not an evaluation criterion. The awardee is simply required to cooperate with Thomson Elite in providing the technical information (e.g., URL information) needed to implement the links to the electronic research system from LawManager as described in PWS 2.3. Question 2: Section L - Instructions to Offerors, asks for a count of the databases included. Please define databases. As we use the term, it is meant to be a group of sources. Sources are a single publication (i.e., The New York Times). There will be more databases than sources since each source has its own, Individual Database and then will also be grouped in numerous other databases. As an example, the single Source The New York Times is located in 141 different databases on our research system. Answer 2: The most useful count is of the number of unique sources. Counting the same source numerous times based on inclusion in multiple groups is not desired. However, a description of groupings is additional useful information; that could be provided in an existing database directory. END OF THIS MODIFICATION
