- Description
- Defense Supply Center Richmond intends to negotiate with responsible Small Business concerns for the establishment of a requirements-type contract with a base period of one year and one option period. The product being procured is Granular Magnesium Powder, manufactured IAW MIL-DTL-382D, Type III, Granulation number 17, not to exceed 2% fines through number 100 sieve. Direct access to defense and federal specifications, standards, and related standardization documents is available on the internet via: www.dodssp.daps.mil. The unit of issue is a drum (DR) containing 100 pounds of product. Government First article testing is required- sample size is 10 KG- sent to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana. Delivery orders will be issued under resulting contract, manually and/or electronically. The sole delivery location is the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Crane, Indiana. The estimated demand quantity for the base period is 4,223 drums. The estimated demand quantity for the option period is 2,400 drums. MSDS and OSHA Hazard Warning Label are required with the contractor's offer and with each shipment. Standard commercial packaging is permissable IAW ASTM-D-3951. See numbered notes 1, 9, and 26. This is a 100% small business set-aside solicitation. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
