- Description
- The General Services Administration is requesting proposals from electric generation suppliers to provide electric power supply to Federal facilities in the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and Allegheny Power service territories in the State of Maryland. The successful offeror will supply electricity and transmission for a contract term of twelve (12) full billing months beginning with the December 2005 meter read dates for BGE and January 2006 meter read dates for Allegheny Power. A six (6) month extension period is included in the contract. The approximate annual electric requirement for Type III accounts is 245,000,000 kWhs with 41 MW of combined peak demand. The Government will require a single rate schedule price to apply to all accounts that will remain fixed for the contract term. A separate rate schedule price will be requested for Allegheny and BGE accounts. The procurement method will be a competitive negotiated Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with Part 12 (Commercial Item) of the FAR. This announcement constitutes the presolicitation notice and the synopsis. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror that offers the lowest evaluated price for all accounts and meets the solicitation's minimum technical requirements. Supplier technical responses to the solicitation are due no later than 2:00 p.m. on November 4, 2005 at the GSA Bid Room (see solicitation for address). Pricing will be submitted in accordance with the solicitation on November 8, 2005 no later than 10:00 a.m. Separate awards for the BGE and Allegheny accounts will be considered.
