Description
Simulator, Target Hit M25 (NSN: 1370-01-344-5849) provides the gunner and tank crew with a cue that the target has been hit but not necessarily killed. The M25 provides this cue by producing a flash, bang, and a stream of fifteen burning pellets. T he target hit simulator consists of a plastic cylinder body with a protective cap, which covers a Styrofoam plug and attached lead wires. The lead wires connect to an electric match inside the container which ignites an expelling charge and pellets. The simulator is approximately 6 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. This item will be built to a Government Technical Data Package. Interested companies should respond by providing the government the following information: a brief summary of the company's capabilities, a description of facilities, business size information as it applies to NAICS code 325998 (500 employees), personnel, and past manufacturing experience (similar items) as it relates to the above criteria, and availability (estimated minimum and maximum monthly production quantities and if resources to produce this item are shared with other productions lines). Interested respondents will identify whether they are a large or small business according to NAICS code 325998. A respondent to this survey should be able to show adequate technical and manufacturing capability and satisfactorily past performance in the explosives/pyrotechnic processing industry; specifically, black powder and powdered metals should be addressed. If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc.) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of s ubtier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria. All contractors interested in this future solicitation must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database. Interested parties have 30 calendar days from the date of this publication to submit information to be considered in the development of the acquisition strategy for this item.
