Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement for a nurse to provide medical services and independently manage the medical clinic at the following location: FAA Great Lakes Regional Office, Des Plaines, Illinois. The estimated period performance is to commence December 15, 2005 for an initial period of ten (10) months. There are four (4) one-year option periods. The hours required will be between 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The individual may be asked to work extra hours during the year for such activities as the biannual Blood Drives or the Health Awareness Activities. The agency must have at least three (3) years experience in providing medical personnel to other government agencies or large size companies and have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year and be within a one hundred (100)-mile radius of Des Plaines, Illinois. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Past Performance. The licensed registered nurse must be a graduate of an approved nursing program and must be licensed in the State of Illinois to practice nursing. This person must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and have the ability to efficiently operate technical medical equipment. The Government is seeing offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the greatest value of "Best Buy" offers. Therefore, award may be made to other than the lowest offer. The contractor and all employees of this contract will be subject to a Background Investigation by the FAA Security Division.
