Description
Solicitation HQ0423-05-R-0004 Interpreting Services October 20, 2005 The purpose of this amendment is to post questions/answers to inquires received. All questions should be in writing and can be sent to Teresa Knotts at facsimile (614) 693-5674 or email at teresa.knotts@dfas.mil. This solicitation is extended to 12:00 P.M. EST, Wednesday, November 30, 2005 pending a revision that will be published at a later date. Questions and Answers Question – Historical data – I was looking for a breakdown of the total hours by anticipated hours at each location; i.e., Charleston – 100 hours, Cleveland – 125 hours, etc. I realize these wold be estimates only but would provide a better understanding of the different location’s anticipated needs. Answer – The requirement is going to be revised to show a breakdown by location. Question – I understand that the Charleston location is going to be effected by the recent BRAC announcements, are there others? This would impact staffing over the entire potential term of the initial and option years. Answer – A lot of these areas are on the BRAC list; however, it needs to be notes that this is not yet a final decision. BRAC could also create more of a need for these services than they currently experience. The requirement will be revised to point out those locations involved in BRAC. Question – I see that the interpreter(s) must have passed the RID written and performance tests or the NAD test; are they also required to be a member of the RID or the NAD (private organizations) in order to work for the Government? Answer – Certification is the requirement not membership in the RID. However, further research is being done and the Statement of Work will be revised accordingly. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (20-OCT-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
