- This amendment corrects the subject line in addition to the description. The subject is corrected above and the description if also correct as follows: This procurement is for a variable speed electric motor producing 25 MW output at 88.6 rpm without a gear reduction. It is noted that a superconducting or other highly developmental motors are not solicited. The types of motors anticipated are synchronous or induction. Specifically, the contractor shall provide a motor and associated power supply and control system as described above and provide delivery, installation, and acceptance testing for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Detachment, Large Cavitation Channel (LCC) PO Box 13428, 2700 Channel Avenue, Memphis TN 38113-0428. The proposed delivery schedule shall be 21 months from the effective date of the contract. A firm fixed price type contract is anticipated. The request for proposal shall be available at http://www.dt.navy.mil/acquisition/acq/sol/sol.html with a closing date of thirty (30) days thereafter. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by this agency.
