Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing labor, materials, and equipment to perform: (1) Gene expression arrays and high throughput PCR. This research project includes: (a) cost of the gene arrays; (b) cost of the test arrays; (c) Bioanalyzer RNA Analysis. (2) Perform real time PCR: (a) Archived cDNA Preparation; (b) Test for 3 Endoginous controls; (c) PCR setup and run (based on cost of wholes and well. The VA Medical Center Laboratory Staff may be working with the vendor on this project. .A written report shall be submitted outlining the service and testing performed and any other compiled data related to this project to the end-user/researcher. The vendor is to perform tasks as specified. The VA Medical Center will negotiate new changes to the contract when the possibility of additional work becomes a necessity. Businesses should be regular suppliers of these items and services and must be able to start deliveries within 10-15 days after receipt of the contract to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center Wade Park Division, 10701 East Blvd. Cleveland, OH 44106. Successful contractors may be required to subcontract to local business to carry out this contract. Hours of work are from 8-5:00pm Monday thru Friday and excluding Federal Holidays. After hours work will be scheduled. This request is for sources sought. The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center intends to procure goods and services for the above listed items. A determination to compete this proposed contract is based on the responses to this notice is within the discretion of the government. The anticipated date of award is November 15, 2005. Business should respond with their capabilities in writing. Interested parties responding to this notice must provide the name, address and telephone number of their company, business size, and whether they are regular manufactures or distributors of the above listed product(s) by November 7, 2005.
