- *******APPROXIMATE ISSUE DATE WILL BE 11/3/2005*********** The Trig Stewardship project is located near the community of Crescent Lake on the Crescent Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest. It will treat 742 aces of lodgepole pine stands along or near the Highway 58 corridor. Project objectives include wildfire hazard reduction in the wildland urban interface, improvements to wildland fire suppression access, capabilities and public safety, restore forest health, and maximize utilization of wood products. To accomplish these objectives the Solicitation and resultant contract will include reconstruction of 3.48 miles of road, commercial timber harvest and related activities, thinning, hand and machine piling of slash, and road maintenance. Estimated start of work is Spring 2006 with contract time of 4 years from contract award. PRE-BID MEETING 11/14/2005, 9:00 AM AT THE CRESCENT ODELL LAKE COMMUNITY BUILDING (FIREHALL) AT CRESCENT LAKE, OREGON 97425. From Highway 97 take the Crescent cut off road and travel approximately 12 miles west to Highway 58. Take Highway 58 North 4 miles to FS Road 60.
