Description
Request charter of one U.S. or foreign flag RO/RO vessel to move approximately 36K+/- 10% SqFt of rolling stock in a single vessel lift. Vessel is required to have lashing points and provide all lashing gear. Lashings to be patent lashings. Minimum required speed is 15 knots. Vessel must document deck and ramp strengths suitable to carry oversized engineering equipment (see cargo list for weight). In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 69 FEDERAL REGISTER 25166-25168, May 5, 2004, or most current reference), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants.
