- Notice of intent to award, on or about Oct. 24, 2005, a sole source procurement to Viking Air Limited, Sidney, British Columbia, Canada for a special fatigue assessment for a government-owned deHavilland DHC-6-300 aircraft. The aircraft is used for smokejumper aerial fire-fighting operations, which may be considered "severe" as defined in the Bombardier/deHavilland Structural Components/Service Life Limits Manual (PSM 1-6-7, paragraph 4). Viking Air Limited provides original equipment manufacturer engineering support for deHavilland DHC-6-300 aircraft. Interested parties should contact the POC listed no later than Oct. 21, 2005.
