- This is a Sole Source Market Survey for Architect-Engineer (A/E Services) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. CONTRACT INFORMATION: The USACE-NYD intends to award a sole source mod to Ewing Cole for final design services for a Clinic Addition to Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point. Ewing Cole was the selected architect-engineer (A/E) firm for the projec t and has executed the concept design phase. The continuing services will include, field investigation, medical planning, architectural, engineering and cost estimating work on the Clinic Addition design including design services for renovation of an area within the existing hospital under this contract. The two facilities must compliment each other in their walk-thru means, fire codes and utilities. This synopsis serves a dual purpose 1) to serve as notification of the Army Corps intent to award a sole s ource mod to an existing contract awarded to Ewing Cole and 2) to serve as a market survey to access capability of any other potential source that may have the capability to perform this service. The designer of record, and the responsibility for the enti re design, including the concept design already prepared by Ewing Cole, shall be inherited by the final design firm. A brief synopsis of the services includes: preparing construction contract plans and specifications, including supporting design analyses, and a construction cost estimate, for the construction of a 50,000 GSF clinic addition next to the existing Keller Ho spital. The clinic will include primary care, orthopedics, optometry, ophthalmology, a TRICARE service center and staff/administrative support spaces. The services include further field investigation, detailing functional plans, design analysis, designing the supporting utilities such as, water, sewer, natural gas, HVAC, electric service, exterior and/or security lighting, parking, storm drainage, communications systems and site improvements. The estimated value of the final design services is approximately $2.0M. This announcement is a 15 day notification to the public.
