- Description
- The US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command plans on acquiring up to 3000 each Lateral Accelerometer, Part Number 12050/4384A-2-P63A, NSN 6680-01-326-8168 part of the UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter Automatic Flight Control Syste m (AFCS). The Lateral Accelerometer is part of the UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopters Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS). The AFCS is an electro-hydro mechanical system that provides inputs to the flight controls, which assists the pilot in maneuvering and handling the aircraft. Operation of a helicopter without a Lateral Accelerometer presents safety risks to the pilot and crew, since it provides oscillation damping (dynamic stability), and maintains desired altitude, speed, and heading (static stability) . This requirement shall be acquired on a sole source basis from BEI, Precision Systems and Space Division, 1100 Murphy Drive, Maumelle, Arkansas. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Sub part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal in accordance with Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06. The type of contract shall be a 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type vehicle with requirements placed by individual delivery orders. Shipments shall be FOB Dest ination to New Cumberland Army Depot, Pennsylvania. The requirements of FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 shall be incorporated in the solicitation. Proposals, along with completed provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items , shall be electronically forwarded not later than close of business 4 November 2005 to: Thomas S.
