- The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL is seeking sources for Advisory and Assistance Services. This is a Sources Sought ONLY . It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if there are sources that can supply an existing requirement. The requirement is as follows: Participate in the teaching of course curriculum for the Air War College (AWC) resident program, specifically National Security Decision Making and Global Security courses. Participate in course preparation, curriculum development as appropriate, classroom execution, grading of examinations, the reading of papers and provision of student feedback are required. Contractor will be prepared to: Deliver lectures, conduct seminars, and participate in panel discussions related to the curriculum. Serve as advisor to students doing research in the curricular subjects assigned to him. Serve as seminar leader/facilitator. Develop curriculum to support the AWC educational mission. Serve as a faculty member in National Security Forum. Serve as advisor in the AWC distance leaning initiative. The National Security Decision-Making (NSDM) course is conducted from 3 November to 16 December 2005. The Global Security (GS) course runs from 15 March to 28 April 2006. Additionally, the contractor is required to serve on the faculty team administrating the National Security Forum (15 May to 19 May 2006). The contractor will conduct all blocks of instruction described above and provide all advisory duties specified. Contractors responding to this Sources Sought are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company?s full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the service the government is seeking. The government is anticipating using a North American Industry Classification System Code of 541611. Contractors interested in performing these services should be registered in Wide Area Workflow (https://wawf.eb.mil/) and Central Contractor Registration (http://www.bpn.gov/ccr/scripts/index.html). Final responses to this Sources Sought will be due on 27 October 2005. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
