- Description
- This procurement is a Best Value Source Selection for the Repair Runway/Centerline Lighting 14L/32R at the Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The work includes developing design documents and performing construction to repair runway 14L/32R, including removal and replacement of portions of Portland cement concrete pavement and asphalt concrete pavement; repairs to concrete and asphalt cracks; removal and replacement of portions of the existing storm sewer system; removal and replacement of runway threshold light cans, light fixtures and wiring between the light positions; reinstallation of new light fixtures to their proper elevation; replacement of existing rubber slabs under the two arresting gear cables on either end of the runway with steel plates; asphalt driveways at each of the four Arresting Gear Equipment Pads and at the IFLOLS Optical Landing System pads at either end of the runway; re-striping of airfield areas affected by construction; and incidental related work. The work also includes replacement of runway centerline lighting circuits. The centerline lighting circuit portion of the work is completely designed. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is 01 November 2005. This solicitation is available in electronic format only. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the Internet. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 237310 with a Size Standard of $28.5 million. This project is not set aside for small business. In accordance with the provisions of DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Lack of registration in the CCR database on the part of the offeror will make an offeror ineligible for award.
