Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for installation of buoys and channel markers at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Titusville, Fl. Work includes but is not limited to installing buoys, signs and markers for the purpose of establishing zones in water depths from a few inches to a few feet in Mosquito Lagoon where internal combustion engines will be prohibited. Jones Act Insurance will be required. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 238990. The size standard is $12.0 million. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tentative RFQ issue date is on or about 10/31/05, with quotes due on or around 11/29/05. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with a performance period of 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date on or around 12/06/05. The RFQ documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ Number 401816Q004. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Note: Prospective offeror's must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number, which can be obtained free of charge from Dun and Bradstreet at (800) 333-0505.
