IT IS THE GOVERNMENT?S INTENT TO AWARD A 2-YEAR INDEFINITE DELIVERY TYPE CONTRACT. NSN: 1560-00-897-6862FG P/N: 35-8231-501 Engineering Data List: Revision 03 dated 17 Sep 2002 Technical Data Package: Page 1 thru 8 dated 12 Sep 2002 Noun: Fairing Assembly, T.E. #2 Strut Item Description: Sailboat fairing that attaches to the rear side of #2 engine strut. Dimensions are 3? H x 3? W x 7? Long. Material is aluminum and bonded honeycomb panels. Applicable to: B52H Destination: FB2039 Delivery: First Order due On or Before December 2006; subsequent orders due 7 months ARO Best Estimated Qty: 4 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to all line items. THE FOLLOWING DATES ARE APPROXIMATE. CONTRACTORS SHALL REFER TO THE ACTUAL SOLICITATION FOR THE EXACT CLOSING DATE. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 31 Oct 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 30 Nov 2005. The anticipated award date will be 21 Dec 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. Contractors must be registered in ORCA prior to award. Contractors may access ORCA at http://www.orca.bpn.gov . No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
