- The Billings Area Indian Health Service (IHS) is requesting proposals in accordance with the requirements of Request for Quotation (RFQ)-10-06-006-REL for the provision of General Surgery Services for the Blackfeet Service Unit, PHS Indian Hospital, Browning, Montana. The services include 48 specialty clinics and 24 surgical procedures days per year with at least four procedures performed each surgical day at the Blackfeet Service Unit. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items (10 U.S.C. 2304(g) and 2305 and 41 U.S.C. 253(g) and 253a and 253b) and FAR subpart 37.1, Personal Services Contracts (Public Law 103-332, Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriation Act, Title II, September 30, 1994, 108 Stat. 2530, as implemented by 25 U.S.C. 1638c). The IHS intends to award a single contract in response to the solicitation. The contract shall be awarded for a base year (date of award through September 30, 2006) with three 12-month options.
