- Description
- The project purpose is to enhance property boundary restoration and maintenance by removal of brush and trees along the property boundary corridor, to reduce or minimize catastrophic wildfires in the wildland/urban interface by providing a break in fuels that can be perpetuated and to reduce fuel build up consisting of aproximately 20 acres in 15 sites of red-cockaded woodpecker clusters. This contract requires mastication (mulching or chipping) of the dense, continuous small diameter and down or standing trees within the project areas.
