Description
*THIS PROCUREMENT IS MARKED FOR A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE* NASA/MSFC has a requirement for a brand name or equal Sulzer Metco Model twin 10-V powder feeder with the following requirements: 1. Must interface with existing Electro Plasma Inc vacuum plasma spray system 2. Capable of holding vacuum hopper when system chamber is evacuated 3. Powder feeder shall not introduce atmosphere (leak) into spray system chamber 4. Feed rate must be PLC controllable during operation to permit gradient spraying 5. Minimum powder hopper volume 4 liters 6. Feeder must be interface with and be controlled by existing PLC 7. Feeder must support two feed sources with equal mass of powder (dual feed) 8. Feeder must display powder feed rate in real time 9. Supplier to quote and supply unit with rebuild parts kit 10. Two (2) copies of installation, service, and operation manuals shall be included 11. Recommended spare parts list shall be included 12. Dual removable powder canisters 13. The powder feeder will supply powder to two ports simultaneously plus/minus 5% of each other 14. Feed either by grams per minute or by revolutions per minute. 15. Low powder alarm 16. Print port for documentation with time and date stamp 17. Auto evacuates and charges powder canister to desired operating pressure (vacuum) 18. Feed from 10 to 200 grams per minute. 19. Maximum dimensions: 24? X 20? X 36? tall 20. Air pressure: 60 psi (min) to 120 psi (min) 21. Power input: 110 vac 20 amps This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Delivery shall be FOB Destination The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9 The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. All contractual and technical questions must be in writing (e-mail) to Dennis Enegren not later than Friday 10/14/2005. Telephone questions will not be accepted. Offers for this item(s) described above are due by e-mail to Dennis.C.Enegren@msfc.nasa.gov no later than 10/18/2005 at 5:00 P.M Central Standard Time. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).
