Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS: 561710, Size Standard: 6,000,000 Statement of Work For Termites General The contractor shall perform termite treatment for the Environmental Protection Agency, Gulf Ecology Division located at 1 Sabine Island Drive, Gulf Breeze FL. The services include buildings 1, 3, 7, 34, 38, 42, and 65. This is a multi-year contract with one initial year and four continuous years based on the availability of funds. Contractor Specific Tasks The contractor shall perform an initial inspection of the buildings at the Gulf Ecology Division within 10 days after receipt of contract. The contractor shall provide a written report listing problems areas and recommended solution to the facility manager. The report shall list areas by building number or location. The report shall also include a written schedule for service of each building or location for the term of the contract. After initial inspection, the contractor shall treat the buildings. After initial treatment the contractor shall perform quarterly inspections and exterminate all termites. Treatment shall be applied as required. The contractor shall only use the bait system. All services shall be completed during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. ? 4:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays or at a time designated by the Facility manager. Special services may be requested during the weekends or nights to avoid contact with employees and research. Services shall be provided at times approved by the facility manager to ensure no interference with employees and laboratory experiments. Contractor shall use special care in the application of chemicals ensuring that no damage is made to government property. The contractor shall furnish all chemicals, pesticides and insecticides. The contractor shall provide the names and types of chemical, pesticides and insecticide that will be used. A material safety data sheet shall be provided with the proposed price quote. The contractor must provide a certification that all pesticides are registered with the Pesticides Regulation Branch, Plant Pest Control Division, Agriculture Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture for use in dwellings. The contractor shall provide the same information each time there is a change in products during the performance of the contract. The contractor shall provide all equipment necessary to prevent termites. The contractor shall not spray any building without receiving prior approval from the facility manager. The contractor shall remove and dispose of all termites in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations The contractor shall maintain a logbook for each building. The logbook(s) shall contain the service schedule for that building, the inspection dates, time, unscheduled visits, all chemicals used and all completed form concerning the building. The contractor shall response to all non-scheduled service from the facility manager within 24 hours after receipt of notice. The contractor shall provide information on any subcontractor that will be used during the period of the contract. Applicable License and Standards The contractor shall maintain pesticide business license and be in conformance with all Federal, State and Local laws. The contractor shall maintain all certification and registration required by Federal, State and Local laws. 52.212-1 - Instruction to Offerors ?
