****ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO: ______________________________, Contracting Officer, FAX 256-955-9220, AMSAM-AC-LS-A, E-mail:____________________________; NSN: 3040-01-161-1212; P/N: 7-211 350021 (-3); PRON: AX579728AX; NOUN: Gearshaft, Spur; Quantity: 182 Each Minimum/598 Each Maximum, Five-Year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) applicable to AH-64 (Apache) with deliveries to Stockton, CA 95296-0130. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 182 each, 420 Days After Contract Award (DACA). Required delivery with Alternate II is 182 Each, 350 DACA. Required delivery without First Article Testing is 182 Each, 280 DACA. This item is restricted to the approved sources, Precision Gear Incorporated, CAGE Code: 21540, United Dominion Ind., Inc., DBA FENN Technologies, CAGE Code: 82001 and McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., CAGE Code: 8V613 because this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activ ity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). Adequate technical data is not a vailable for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation Requirments. All responsible sources may sub mit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. No t elephone request will be accepted. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
