Description

Design services to furnish complete construction documents (Plans & Specifications) and construction period services for Project 573-06-602, "Re-Roof E-Wing?, at the VA Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida. This project will replace approximately 21,0000 SF of original cold tar patch with gravel finish with modified bituminous system. Selection will be based upon recent specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required, professional capacity to accomplish work, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to project, past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry, in terms of cost control, quality of work, compliance with performance schedules, and other appropriate evaluation criteria. The A/E firm selected will be required to retain a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to provide expertise in all aspects of assessing, abating, monitoring, and making recommendations concerning asbestos within the project scope of work. Construction budget is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. Consideration is limited EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS concerns located within a 150-mile radius of Gainesville, FL. An emerging small business concern for purposes of this solicitation is defined as a firm whose average annual receipts for the past three years does not exceed $2 million. Firms desiring consideration should submit a completed SF 330 by close of business 11/09/2005. North American Industrial Classification: 541330. Award is subject to availability of funds.
