- Description
- This acquisition is for a Four(4)Year Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity Contract , consisting of a Base Year and Three (3) One-Year Term Options, for the "Visor, Flyer's Helmet, HGU 55/P Clear and Neutral (NSNs: 8475-01-319-8961 and 8475-01-319-8962). The solicitation will be issued on an Unrestricted Basis and award will be made using Low Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Procedures. The "Visor, Flyer's Helmet, HGU 55/P Clear and Neutral" requires Engineering Source Approval (ESA) by the design control activity at Brooks Air Force Base in order to maintain the quality of the item. Currently, Carleton Technologies and Gentex Corporation are the only approved sources of supply for this item. Items are to made in accordance with the applicable drawings: (1) F148-1205, Visor Assy, Helmet Lightweight, Combat Edge, Rev. G; (2) F148-1205-1, Visor Assy, Clear; and (3) F148-1205-2, Visor Assy, Neutral. Military Specification and drawings are available. Interested parties can request specifications, patterns, and drawings on the Warfighter page: http://warfighter.dla.mil/newmenu/Index.jsp. Select "Vendor Info" and then select "Specification/Pattern Request." Any Contractor interested in becoming an approved source please contact Le Huyen, Engineer at Brooks Air Force Base, at 210-536-5127. Base Year minimum quantity is 3,600 (any combination) and the Base Maximum quantity is 10,600 (any combination). Each of the three (3) One-Year Option Periods minimum quantity is 2,500 (any combination) and the maximum quantity is 8,000 (any combination). First Article Testing (FAT) is required. FOB Destination applies. The required delivery schedule will be stated in the solicitation. All material shall be Contractor furnished. Anticipated solicitation issuance date is 17 October 2005. Numbered Notes 9,13,23, and 26 Apply. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or amendments. Copies of the solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil after October 17, 2005(estimated). From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then you choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. IF you are not, you will be directed to register at the time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors must go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP CLothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent.
